I definitely enjoyed the first book in the series best. Although it did cap off the main story lines from the previous books. I did not like that the book had so many quick fixes. One line written in here and there to change this law so person A could do this, another line here to create a conflict for person B or a random journal showing up to solve issue C. It felt like the author was under a time crunch and using these under thought solutions to get the book out to publishing sooner. The struggles did not seem real and felt underdeveloped. This book/series is good for someone who is not totally in to the paranormal romance scene because the wolf aspect doesn't feel forced or feel all-consuming throughout the book like some other titles. It does leave some aspects of the storyline openended alluding to another book in the series. I read it to finish the previous story lines but thought it was only ok in comparison to the preceding books. overall opinion: an ok cap off to the series but underdeveloped.Product details

This series has been an awesome adventure. This book had me going through so many emotions; happiness, fear, sadness,joy and heartbreak. The plot gets thicker and fate causes many twists and turns. Full of surprises and an ending that could hopefully lead to more book in The Sanctuary Series.
What a great third book... but it doesn't feel pinched off as when totally things are ended (there is more room for more stories... hint, hint, hint). The world opening for River, Rueben, Jonathan and the entire cast will be hard and different from what they expect, but it won't be without the moments of joy and glory along the way!
I enjoyed this but not quite as much as the first book. While the romance was there and a decent story, I had a tough time believing the "evil ruler" gave up so easily. I'd also like to know more about Sanctuary itself, more history of the settlement. I'll continue to read the series.
I enjoyed the sense of family and deep love that Jonathan and River shared. I have already bought the first three books in the series anad I intend to buy the rest. Best book I have read in a long time.
The third (and final?) book in the Sanctuary Series will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering if River and Jonathan will get their happy ending. Over the course of three books, the characters have all grown and changed, displayed their flaws and strengths, giving us well-rounded characters rather than the flat, one-dimensional characters they could have been. Abel gives us a world where things aren't as black and white as they first seem. There's action, angst and romance that had me finishing it in one sitting. While the ending does give a definite solution, there's also plenty of room to work should Abel continue on with the series.
This series has truly turned into something spectacular for me. Definitely didn't see any of this coming. I'm beginning to like and trust Eli as a character, and just when you think you know the direction that it's all going in, surprise! Reuben also rode in out of nowhere, his character developing into someone I love, but also love to hate. I've said it once and I'll say it again, the different take on "shifter life" honestly makes you forget that you're reading a book about people who happen to shift to wolves now and then. So complex, so well planned, and purposefully thought. Not your average "shifter fantasy". Although fast-paced, leaves so much to be desired, and I can't wait until I have the opportunity to see more.
After falling in love with the characters and the story in the previous two books, I was anxious to see if and how River and Jonathan got their HEA. I won't tell you if/how it happens either, so don't ask ;-). The world Ms. Abel builds throughout these stories is fascinatingly complex and frustratingly simple, which sounds contradictory, however if you've read the story I know you will get my meaning. While this is supposedly the final installment, I for one hope there will be more to come. The society River has grown up in does make some changes from beginning to end of the story arc, but I feel there is much more story to tell! That being said, if there isn't any more to come I was left with a feeling of completion at the end of this saga. That doesn't mean my fingers aren't crossed for more.
